Arles-on-Tech

Arles-on-Tech (Catalan: Arles of tce ) is a common French located in the department of the the Eastern Pyrenees and the area Languedoc-Roussillon

Its inhabitants is called Arlésiens.

  • the Abbey Sainte-Marie, founded at the end of the 8th century, but whose current walls go up for oldest at the end of the 9th century. Of this monastic unit remain the church, the Cloitre, the home Abbatial and some elements of the conventual buildings. The church has escaped with the sale of the National Goods during the French revolution.
  • the church St-Etienne, Devoted first once in 993 and of which there remains only part of the nave included in recent construction industries (nonworth visiting).
  • the church St-Saver, mentioned as of 1159. In spite of the sale, the church is intact, with its movable
  • the villa “Indis”, current Mairie, art nouveau, beginning 20th century.
  • the Saint-Pierre church of Riuferrer, quoted in 830, rebuilt at the 12th century, private property (nonworth visiting).
  • the church Holy-Cross, foundation of 832.
