Arizaro
The volcano Arizaro , is currently a stratovolcano considered as extinct, and which is in the province Argentine of Salta in the Département of Los the Andes, with a few kilometers of the border Chile enne.
Its altitude is of 5 774 meters.
The date of his last eruption is not known.
Situation
The Arizaro volcano is with a score of kilometers in the south-west of the volcano Aracar and to more or less 20 kilometers with the east-south-east of the Socompa. It dominates the Salar d' Arizaro, located at about fifteen kilometers in the south-east, and to which it gave its name. The way of railroad which leads to Antofagasta in Chile, since Salta in Argentina passes to less than ten kilometers to the south of its crater (Train of the clouds).In the North-West is a series of three volcanos located pesqu' in North-South row and beginner at ten kilometers hardly. It is, of north in the south: the Pular, Pajonales and Salín. Together with these three volcanos and Aracar, it delimits a basin or oval basin, occupied by Salina de Pular.
