Arie
The Arie is the name of the one of the satrapies empire of the Achéménides. It is located at the north of the Drangiane and the south-east of the Parthie. It corresponds to the oriental party of the Iranian Khurāsān and to the area of Hérat in the current Afghanistan. This satrapie is conquered by Alexandre Large the in 330 av . J. - C. which founds there the town of Alexandria d' Arie which corresponds to Hérat. Satibarzane, the satrap of Arie revolts after having made pretense subject itself. Alexandre the Large one must send two army corps, of which one is overcome, to come to end from his resistance.
