Aricha

Aricha is a small village being located in the intersection of three willaya: Tlemcen chief place of the willaya in north, Beautiful Sidi Abess in the east and Naama in the south and the Moroccan Border in the west.

Climate and resources

With a semi-arid climate and by its position in high plateau it is favourable for the breeding of the sheep which is its main resource. The climate is very hard: heat in summer until 38°C and a freezing cold in winter. It is little populated and has a very weak concentration of population.

Principal structures

It is the place chief of the commune. One finds the seat of the commune there, a station connected to the domestic network, a brigade of the gendamery and a brigade of the customs.

It has two elementary schools and a college for average teaching. After the last average year, the pupils move with Sebdou to 38 km.

It has a weekly market each Thursday and there is a national university of the gendarmerie.

Energy

The village has its electrical communication and it is fed out of drinking water. To 34 km in the west and on the borders of the commune with the Morocco exists a turbine of pumping of the Gazoduc the Euro-Mediterranean .
