Aria
A aria ( Italian air in , plural arie or arias ) indicated in the beginning, all expressive melody, often (but not always) sung. One uses this term now almost only to describe a Musical genre for a voice, often with the accompaniment of a Orchestre. The most widespread context for an aria is probably the opera. Many arias also form movements of Oratorio S or of Cantate S. Some Compositeur S also wrote “arias in concert”, not forming part of vaster works, like Ah Perfido of Beethoven, or, a certain number of arias in concert of Mozart.
At the 17th century, the aria was written under a ternary form (ABA): this type of aria is also known under the name of Aria da capo or aria with da capo . The aria invests then the repertory of the opera with its many alternatives ( aria cantabile , aria agitata , aria di will bravura , etc).
In the middle of the 19th century, many operas became sequences of arias, decreasing the importance of the account, while other operas as those of Richard Wagner were composed of a block, without a particular passage being able to be identified as an aria which could have been a work with whole share.
