Argus Rusard
Character of the saga Harry Potter, written by J.K. Rowling.
The author makes of it for the first time mention in the volume 1, in the chapter 8
Argus Rusard , (Argus Filch in English), is the caretaker of Poudlard. It is an old man with the eyes globulous and shining like lamps (like its cat). It usually blows like a large ox. Rusard is a Cracmol, although at least one of his/her parents is magicians, i.e. it has no magic capacity though it was born in a family from wizard (Harry learns it in the current from its second year at the school, noting that it is subscribed in Vitmagic, a method of training of the magic by correspondence). The magic should have helped it in its tasks day laborers and the fact that all the students around him control is a probable cause of its rancour. Sometimes it is able to be avenged, in reserve, Ron had to polish silverware in the room of the trophies without having recourse to the magie.
It drew up a list of objects prohibited Poudlard, which lengthens year after year. In 1994, there were 437 objects in this list, available in its office. This list is visible with each banquet of beginning of year.
It tries by all the means of making respect with the letter the payments of the school, like prohibition to be out of the dormitories late the night. It has a very wide knowledge of the secrete ways and the most moved back corners of Poudlard (a little less although the twins, Fred and George Weasley, and now Harry, thanks to the Chart of the Maraudeurs).
Hagrid qualifies it even " old woman ganache". It is nostalgic old punishments, like the corporal punishments, and shows a devotion and an admiration without fault with Dolores Ombrage which reintroduced these methods with Poudlard.
When they have something to make in the castle in middle of the night, the major concern for Harry, Ron and Hermione, it is well him and its she-cat, Miss Tinea. It indeed has a she-cat of the name of Miss Tinea (in English Norris miss). She surveys the corridors in the hope to catch red-handed students in the train of enfreindre the payment. It calls it my darling when she is pilot of a violation of the rules by a student and it arrives in the seconds which follow, which seems to indicate a strong relation between them two. Rusard also sends it to follow Hagrid each time it arrives in the castle.
Rusard is very attached to Miss Tinea and is embanked when it is found petrified by the Basilic in the volume 2.
In films, its role is interpreted by David Bradley.
