Ard-galen
Ard-galen is a fictitious place of the Ground of the Medium imagined by J.R.R. Tolkien in its work Silmarillion .
Ard-galen means “green area”. It is about large a grassy Plaine located at north of Dorthonion and Beleriand. In the west is the area of Hithlum (the kingdom of Fingolfin) and to the east the plain extends from Lothlann, where patrol the Fils of Fëanor during the head office of Angband. In north draw up the Iron Mountains and the fortress of Morgoth: Angband.
At the time of the battle of Dagor Bragollach, in year 455 of the First Age, the whole plain is devastated by spouted out rivers of fire of Angband, and it is famous Anfauglith “dust choking” or Dor-naked-Fauglith .
