Archdiocese of Salzburg

The archdiocese of Salzburg is a metropolitan archdiocese of Roman rite created on April 20th, 798, succeeding the Diocèse of Salzburg. The archdiocese is located in the town of Salzburg, in Austria. Its Latin name is Archidioecesis Salisburgensis . The current archbishop is Alois Kothgasser.
