Archdiocese of Paris
The metropolitan archdiocese of Paris is one of the twenty-three Archidiocèse S of France. Its seat is with Paris, the capital of the country and the prefecture of the area Île-de-France.
The évêchés suffragan ones are Creteil, Évry-Corbeil-Essonnes, Meaux, Nanterre, Pontoise, Saint-Denis and Versailles. Diocese since the 3rd century, the head office of Paris was set up in archdiocese the October 20th 1622. The current archbishop is the cardinal André Vingttrois, which has as auxiliary bishops Mgr Jerome Beau, Mgr Jean-Yves Nahmias and Mgr Michel Pollien.
