Archdiocese of Blantyre
The metropolitan archdiocese of Blantyre is the only archdiocese of the Malawi. Its seat is with Blantyre, the most populated city country, capital of the Southern Région.
The évêchés suffragan ones are Chikwawa, Dedza, Lilongwe, Mangochi, Mzuzu and Zomba. After having been apostolic vicariate of 1952 to 1959, the head office of Blantyre was set up in archdiocese the April 25th 1959.
The current archbishop is Mgr Tarcisius Gervazio Ziyaye.
