Archdiocese of Beira
The metropolitan archdiocese of Beira is one of the three archdioceses of the Mozambique; it is located in the center of the country. Its seat is with Beira, the second of the country by the number of inhabitants, located in the province of Sofala.
The suffragan dioceses are Chimoio, Gurué, Quelimane and Tete. It was set up in archdiocese the June 4th 1984, starting from the diocese of Beira.
The current archbishop is Mgr Jaime Pedro Gonçalves.
