Archaeological Museum of Naples

The national archaeological museum of Naples ( museo archeologico nazionale di Napoli ) exists since 1822; previously it belonged to a university.

It contains a large collection of archaeological objects, in source in particular of the sites of Pompéi and Herculanum, but also of Egypt.
This museum has réouvert the secret Cabinet , an erotic section of art , in 2000.
