Arcade-History

Arcade-History is a Web site devoted to the cataloguing of the machines of arcade and coiner machines last and present.

By covering one period which extends from -215 front JC with today, Arcade-History is the largest base of data of the kind with more than 21000 cards and more than 2500 manufacturers.

History of the site

In October 2000, Alexis Bousiges decides to give to the last style the textual file named History.dat, created originally by Brian Duel. This electronic file (and is always) was intended to be used by the emulator MAME/MAME 32.

In 2001, Alexis decides to carry this project in a base of data and to make a dynamic Web site where the visitors could contribute via a form of tenders.

In March 2004, the site evolves/moves thanks to his/her friend Bruno " Kukulcan" , programmer in PHP/SQL. It has been for this day that the site evolves/moves continuously, as well on the level programming, as at the level contained. More than 400 different contributors were active of March 2004 in March 2007.
