Arboretum Vilmorin is remarkable like place of first acclimatization in Europe, in the middle of the 19th century, of trees and shrubs coming from all the areas of the world. They are especially varieties such as: Philadelphus, Berberis, Deutzia, Quercus, Acer, Malus, Lonicera, Rhododendrons and Euonymus . Edouard Andre, Vilmorin family friend, intervened to create the water ways there.

Today the Vilmorin family, helped of a scientific committee made up of eminent dendrologists, developed two axes for the new introductions: plantation of let us tax dedicated to the family Vilmorin, introduction of kinds mono and bispecific or counting less than 10 let us tax if possible coming from China (Macdenia, Flacoutiacées such Carrierea, Idesia, Polyothyrsis and Hamamélidacées). 2.280 species were indexed and put on data processing.
