Araucariaceae

The family of the Araucariacées is a family of the plants gymnosperme S which counts 32 species divided into 3 kinds:
- Agathis Salisb.
- Araucaria Juice.
- Wollemia whose single species is the pine of Wollemi discovered in 1994 in Australia.
They are trees or shrubs of the moderated areas, with persistent sheets in scales, of Australia, New Guinea or South America.
It is about a very old family which one finds in the parks of Europe two imported representatives: the Araucaria araucaria (known as tree with the monkeys ) and Araucaria araucana , beautiful pine of the sheltered areas.
