Aram

Aram is the name given in the Genèse to the Syria.

This name extended aussià with the Arménie, Mésopotamie, with the Chaldée, the Assyrie and the Élam: it derived from Aram , fifth wire of Sem, whose descendants populated, according to the Bible, Syria and Mésopotamie. One called Araméens the inhabitants of this country.
