Aragon is the name of a Pétrolier having caused a Oil slick with broad of Madeira, in Spain, the December 29th 1989.
Built in 1976 in Spain, it sails under Portuguese house between Mexico and Europe. December 26th, 1989, off Madeira, it suffers various damage then a damage of propulsion and a rupture of the hull at before December 29th. It pours 25.000 tons of Crude oil before its hull is not stopped temporarily by plungers. It is then towed with Tenerife to be emptied there. It will be thereafter repaired, will sail still, be famous Amazonia in 1992 and finally demolished in 1994.
