Aragnouet

Aragnouet is a common French, located in the department of the Hautes-Pyrénées and the area the Midday-Pyrenees.

Geography

It is made up of 4 villages: Fabian, Aragnouet, the Plan, quoted Eget and Eget village (or top).

History

The origin of the name is explained by a Basque bottom on which several Romance suffixes are superimposed (Gascon):

  • - ño , (Basque) “small”
  • one pronunciation or , (occitan) “small”
  • - and , (occitan) “small”
The name thus indicates a small valley.
