Aracena
Aracena is a town of Spain, in the Province of Huelva, autonomous community of Andalusia.
Situation
Aracena is located in the hills of the Sierra of Huelva, on the N433 road which connects Seville to the Portugal
Sites of interest
Dominating the city, are the ruins of a castle built by the Portuguese at the 13th century and a church gothico - mudéjare, the Iglesia Prioral de Nuestra Señora del Mayor Dolor , built towards 1300.Below the castle is the Grotte Wonders ( Gruta of mow Maravillas ), major site of Aracena, accommodating annually: 150000 visitors. Twelve rooms and 6 lakes extend on 1 km. These are the caves which were used as decoration with film of Henry Levin Voyage with the center of the Earth .
Specialities
It is the jamón ibérico , celebrates it Spanish believed ham, which made the reputation of the sierra of Huelva and which justified the opening to Aracena of the museum of the ham ( museo LED jamón ). The hills surrounding the cities are planted besides many Chêne S, the nipple being the principal food of the pigs intended to give ham.

Many hiking trails traverse the sierra starting from Aracena. The tourist bureau of the city stresses the observation of fauna, particularly rich.
