Arab High committee
The Arab High committee was the central political body of the Arab community of Palestine. It was founded in 1936 during the great revolt Arab. Its President was Large the Mufti Amin Al-Husseini. He also included/understood Raghib Al-Nashashibi, of the Parti national defense, Jamal Al-Husseini, of the Palestinian Arab Parti, Yaqub Al-Ghusayn, Abd Salah Al-Lative case, of the National Block, Hussein Al-Khalidi, of the Reforming Party and Awni Abd Al-Hadi, directing Parti the Independence which was also the General secretary.
The Arab High committee was put outlaw by the British in 1937.
In April 1946, its members were: Jamal Al-Husayni, Tewfiq Al-Husayni, Yusif Sahyun, Kamil Al-Dajani, Emile Al-Ghury, Rafiq Al-Tamimi and Anwar Al-Khatib (all members or affiliated with the Palestinian Arab Party), Dr. Izzat Tannus (an independent Christian doctor); Antone Attallah (member of the orthodoxe Greek community); Ahmed Choukairy (nationalist Arabic lawyer with Acre); Sami Taha and Dr. Yusif Haykal (mayor of Jaffa, politically independent).
With the mid- 1946, the members were restricted with Al-Husseini, Al-Khalidi, Hilmi Pasha and Al-Ghury but at the beginning of 1947, the Arab High committee was joined by Hassan Abu Sa' ud, Izhak Darwish Al-Husseini, Izzat Darwaza, Rafiq Al-Tamimi and Mu' in Al-Madi, all partisans of Amin Al-Husseini
During the investigation of the Nations Plain having leads to the Plan of division of Palestine, the HCA will refuse any co-operation with UNO, considering that “the natural rights of Arabic of Palestine are obvious and cannot continue to be the subject of investigation”, which many authors consider to have been a tactical error.
