Tyra Lynne Banks is a Mannequin and American actress , born the December 4th 1973 with Los Angeles, California (the United States). She was noticed as a mannequin for her physique, and was the egery for several famous brands, such as Cover Girl, Swatch, Pepsi, Nike, Inc., Victoria's Secret, XOXO, LensCrafters, Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren, Dolce & Gabbana, Yves the St. Lawrence, Chanel, Escada, Anna Sui, Michael Kors, Liz Claiborne, Isaac Mizrahi, Got Milk? , and Richard Tyler.
She is only the third Afro-American to be signed with a famous brand of cosmetics. She appeared as a cover for magazine Vogue, Harper' S Bazaar, Cosmopolitan, and SHE. Tyra is the premuère Afro-américaine as a cover for and GQ Illustrated Sport. In 1997, it received Michael Award for Supermodel of the Year. Also in 1997, it was selected for the cover of the catalog Victoria Secret, making of it the first Afro-américain mannequin with being honoured.
It was withdrawn from the podiums since May 2005 to devote itself to its career televised as stimulating (The Tyra Banks Show). It appeared for the last time on a podium at the time of the annual procession of Victoria Secret in 2005.
