Aquin (Haiti)

Aquin is a port of Haiti, capital of the district of the same name. It is in the south of the island of Santo Domingo, with 37 kilometers with the east-north-east of the Cayes. In 1950, its population was of 1799 inhabitants. Its current population is estimated at approximately: 95000 people. Several small rivers run there, and on an island in the middle of one of them the ruins of former strong English are. The port exports Tabac, Cane sugar, Café, Bois as well as Coton.
