Aqueduct of Tarragone
The aqueduct of Tarragone is a Aqueduc located in edge of the town of Tarragone in Spain. It dates from the 1st century: the decision of its construction is allotted to Auguste; its state of conservation is remarkable.
One reaches it while crossing a timbered park, on the right of the road of Valleys. It spans a valley of its two lines of stone arches. It fed out of drinking water the Roman big city close to Tarragone. One can go down to the foot to take a little retreat and to admire this small copy of the Pont of Gard or one can go up in the conduit of water and thus cross, on more than 200 meters, the valley by the top of the monument. It was a long time called the “Bridge of the devil” or Bridge of the Blacksmiths.
