799 : Attack of the noble Romans against pope Leon III, directed by the primicier Pascal and the Campulus patrician, nephews of Adrien {{Ier}}, the preceding pope. The day of the major Litanies, the Pope, with horse, opened the walk of a long procession. Suddenly, it is “ attacked, coiled blows, jeté with bottom of its mounting, stripped its pontifical clothing ”. Entreated show it of all kinds of defects and crimes, perjury, fornication and adultery and intend to burst the eyes to him and to cut the language to him. It is locked up in a convent while waiting to be judged, but it manages to escape and takes refuge at the duke of Spolète, before going to Paderborn, to Saxony, near Charlemagne (July). Charles, advised by Alcuin, orders an investigation into the charges carried against Leon III. The pope is returned to Rome with a strong escort (autumn).

- 1185 : In Japan the Bataille of DaN-No-ura, in the inland sea, is lost by Taira, which marks the end of the Guerre of Gempei. - a news Exoplanète was discovered. According to the first observations, it would be " semblable" with the Ground, and could thus shelter a form of life Extra-terrestre. Discovered the April 25th 2007 with the Chile thanks to the spectographe HARPS equipping the telescope with 3,6 bill of quantities of the Observatory of Silla. It revolves around the star Gl 581 and is called Gliese 581 C.
