On LGV Is European, the SNCF managed to make roll an especially prepared TGV Duplex, at the speed of 574,8 km/h. This record lay within the scope of the program “V150” aiming at exceeding the speed of 150 m/sec (either 540 km/h). This V150 oar was especially prepared with 2 engines whose power had been doubled compared to the traditional TGV, had wheels of a broader diameter and a prototype coach in the center of the oar was equipped with motorized bogie trucks future AGV. During the phase of tests, this TGV had already reached the speed of 568 km/h. It was a question on April 3rd of making approved speed records.
