Approved association of fishing and protection of the aquatic environments

A " association approved of fishing and protection of the aquatic environments " or AAPPMA is an association of particular status. It has the role in particular:

the cashing on behalf of the State of the Contribution For the Aquatic environments
the management and the maintenance of the banks of the River X and Lake S French concerning its territory
piscicultural stock management (L.433-3 article of the Code of the environment)
the protection of the Environment
the regrouping of the fishing indebted of the Fishing permit
… etc

The 4.167 AAPPMA of the French territory gather approximately 2 million fishermen. They are joined together within 93 Departmental federations themselves gathered in 7 Regional unions (corresponding to large the catchment areas French), and gathered by the National union for fishing in France (in January 1947 creates).

Each AAPPMA raises, to take up its duties:

of the Ministry for Ecology, the Development and Installation durable
of the Ministry for Agriculture and Fishing
