Apistogramma cacatuoides

Apistogramma cacatuoides was described by Doctor Hoedemann in 1951. All the species of this kind, he is regarded as a dwarf Cichlidae.

Description

This fish measures approximately 8 cm for the males and 5 cm for the females.

Its sides are of color olive to greenish and decorated each one with a dark horizontal stripe. At the time of the abrasion, the females take a yellow color.

Distribution

This fish is in the Río Ucayali and some one of its small affluents like in the Peruvian part of the the Amazon
