Aphotic Zone
The aphotic zone is the zone of a lake or an ocean ranging between the depth from which photosynthesis is not possible any more until the depth where the natural light is null. Certain scientists define it simply as the zone which is not exposed to the light.
This depth can be largely affected by the seasonal Turbidité. The aphotic zone is generally below the photic Zone, left the ocean where the penetrating light allows photosynthesis. The organizations of the aphotic zone depend directly or indirectly on smaller organizations, the such Plancton of the photic zone.
The term aphotic comes from the Greek φοτος ( photographs is light) and the first letter has means without . The aphotic zone can be described simply like a watery zone without light .
