Anurâdhapura
Anurâdhapura was the Capitale Sri Lanka of third century BC at the 10th century apr. J. - C. It was founded by the Devanampiya Tissa (Devanompiyatissa).
The city comprises three monastic units:
- the Mahavihara, third century BC
- the Abhayagirivihara, first century BC
- the Jetanavihara, 3rd century apr. J. - C.
The site of Anurâdhapura is classified with the world heritage UNESCO.
