Antwerp (subway of Paris)

Antwerp is a station of the line 2 of the Métro of Paris; it is located at the limit of the 9 {{E}} and 18 {{E}} districts of Paris.

The station

Inaugurated the October 7th 1902, the station was used as terminus of the Dauphine line Porte (subway of Paris), during the few months preceding the opening by a new section of the line going initially until Alexandre Dumas, then until the current terminus Nation. It owes its name with the close public garden of Antwerp (itself bearing the name of the Belgian city of Antwerp).

  • Funicular of Montmartre: it should be noted that with his ticket of Subway validated, the traveller coming from the Antwerp station can borrow the Funiculaire of Montmartre, and save effort to climb the staircases of the garden of the Sacré-coeur (correspondence by the public highway)
