Antonio de Oquendo

Antonio de Oquendo (October 1577 with Saint-Sebastien - June 7th 1640 with Corogne) was a Spanish sailor, general Admiral of the Armada of the sea Océane. It taken share more than one hundred naval actions, in particular with the Battle of los Abrojos in 1631, and with the Battle of Downs in 1639.

It is ensured that its military successes were due to its scrupulous organization and the very strict discipline which reigned on board its ships.
