Antonio de Abreu
Antonio de Abreu (born in 1480), belonged to these Portuguese adventurers who explored the roads of the India and of Epices at the beginning of XVIe century. In 1511, it takes part with Alfonso de Albuquerque in the catch of Malacca. This last then names it with the head of a forwarding of three ships which must reach the Moluques, source of approvisonnements several spices, of which the Nutmeg. It is on this occasion that he discovered the island of Timor, of which the oriental party, from now on independent, remained Portuguese until in 1975.
