Antonio Vallejo Nágera

Antonio Vallejo Nágera was a military Psychiatre which counted among the military psychiatrists who carried out experiments on the prisoners of the Guerre of Spain to identify Gènes Communistes . In 1938, certain members of the International Brigades were subjected to physical and psychological tests; it is a question of the one of the first systematic attempts of putting psychiatry at the service of a political ideology. A film explores on this subject the experiments of Doctor Vallejo in the lost children of Francoism : It describes an experimental situation where the children of the republicans can remain with their mother genital only beyond three years. These children are then taken charges some by a catholic institution which inculcates to a completely contrary ideology with that their parents to them. Very often, moreover the latter lose their trace. Without any scientific base the report/ratio declares that “… the close friends relations between Marxism and mental inferiority are obvious and concludes on basis from this postulate that the setting with the variation of the subjects as of childhood could free the company from this ideology…”
