Antonio Skármeta

Antonio Skármeta is an author Chile in, born in 1940.

He wrote the wedding of the poet (Prix Médicis foreign in 2001), Ardente patience (delivers from which was drawn the film the factor with Philippe Noiret in 1994)…

He had to leave the Chile in 1973, whereas he was professor at the University of Santiago. He then taught at the Institute of the cinema of Berlin - Western.

Author of scenarios for the cinema and television, it is turned over to live with the Chile since 1990.

The Grand Prix of the festival of Biarritz to him was allotted in September 1983 for Ardente patience (realizer and scenario writer).

Burning defender of the human rights and social justice, he was ambassador of the Chile to Berlin.

He received in 2003 the Prix Planeta for El bucket of Victoria .
