Biography
Beginnings
After 6 years of Karting in Brazil, Pizzonia leaves for England in 1997 to begin its career in the single-seater there. It gains there the championship of Formula Vauxhall Junior in 1998 then the British championship of Renault Formula in 1999 (it also finishes 2nd of Eurocup F.Renault) before taking down the prestigious title of Formule 3 British in 2000.In 2001, Pizzonia reaches the international championship of Formule 3000 within the Petrobras stable. A beautiful second place with the championship enables him to become starting from 2002 pilot tester on behalf of the stable Williams - BMW in Formule 1 (mainly thanks to the support of the Brazilian tanker Petrobras, which sponsored the Anglo-German team), whereas it carries out in parallel a second season in F3000.

In 2003, Pizzonia is recruited by the stable Jaguar Racing to dispute the championship of the world of F1. But a calamitous beginning of the season is not long in placing it on an ejector seat. In spite of a progressive improvement of its performances, he is dismissed at the semi-season to be replaced by Justin Wilson.Pizzonia returns then to Williams where as from 2004, it takes again his role of pilot tester. This position gives the opportunity to him to return in Grand Prix when it is called to take over temporarily the duties of Ralf Schumacher (casualty) during four races at the end of the summer. With this occasion, Pizzonia is shown rather with its advantage, carrying out performances close to famous sound fellow-member Juan Pablo Montoya. Difficulties to start again itself
In 2006, Pizzonia leaves to try its chance in Champ Because, where it disputes four races on behalf of Rocketsports. But its employer, the Fisichella Motor Sport, separates from him at the end of June.
