Antonio Maria Salvini
Antonio Maria Salvini (alias Antonius Maria Salvinius , born the January 12th 1653 with Florence, † the 16 or May 17th 1729 with Florence) was a writer, a Poète and a Philologue Italy N of the end of the 17th century and beginning of the XVIII {{E}}.
Biography
Salvini was the son of Andrea Salvini and his Eleonora wife. He studied with the Université of Pisa and was old professor of Greek with Florence of 1673 with 1725. He was to speak usually at least eight languages. He translated and commented on ancient tragedies, Opéra S and Comédie S. He wrote moreover a Dictionnaire of dialect Tuscan and composed of poetries.
Salvini was member of the Accademia della Crusca, the Accademia Fiorentina and the Accademia degli Apatisti . On proposal of Robert Ball, it was allowed in 1716 with the Royal Society of London, at the time always chaired by Isaac Newton.
The Italian botanist Pier Antonio Micheli, a contemporary and Florentin colleague, gave his name (Salvini) to ferns watery S, the kind Salvinia .
