Antonio Barezzi

Antonio Barezzi (Busseto, December 23rd 1787 - July 21st 1867) is the discoverer of the talent of Giuseppe Verdi, her Mécène and his father-in-law.

Owner of a food trade and wholesale liquors with Busseto and landowner, it is the cultural worker and musical of the city. Its house is the seat of the Philharmonic orchestra bussetan and the place of the first public exhibitions of the Verdi young person who starts to attend it as of the ten years age.

In 1836, Made green wife her daughter, Margherita Barezzi.

Since 2001, the history Casa Barezzi is the seat of a museum entrusted to the Association of the friends of Made green. Its living room continues to accommodate concerts of classical music and lyric.
