Anton Schwarzkopf

Anton Schwarzkopf (1924-2001) is a German engineer specialized in the field of the Russian Montagnes. The weather was design of many Manège S and others Russian Montagnes for the recreation parks.

Biography

Anton Schwarzkopf entered the world of industry thanks to his/her father who was specialized in the design of the transport used in particular by the circuses. Born in 1924 with Behlingen, in Germany, Anton grows in the company of his/her father who is not whereas a repair shop but which will become with the passing of years a company specialized in open transport (Caravane S, transport for the Cirques,…)

The First World War obliges the father of Anton to leave the company to go to the face. From 1943, Anton even is called up him for the military service of its country. It will be made besides prisoner by the American army of Montecassino, in Italy on March 26th, 1946.

Once the finished war the population will want of entertainment, which arranges the businesses of the company which takes again its activity very quickly. From 1948 to 1955,35 vehicles of circus are manufactured.

The company decides to evolve and this to turn to the industry of the leisure. Since 1954, the company to create its first horse-gears (trains phantom, palate of the laughter, Spiral Jet,… Schwarzkopf, draws the first Russian mountain of the company, The Wildcat , in 1964.

Schwarzkopf Industries grows then very quickly, the sales are connected with amongst other things a Russian mountain for Gröna Lund in 1965, another for Liseberg in 1966,…

The company will be one of more innovating of its time of the world of attractions with in particular the first concept of Train of the mine, well before the hour, the idea of dueling coaster, the first loop on a Russian Montagne out of metal in 1976, the first Russian mountain with not completed (Shuttle Loop),…

Anton Schwarzkopf, unfortunately, supported many problems of businesses. Its company suffering from several debts was to oblige to cease its activity.

Anton Schwarzkopf it is withdrawn from industry in 1995, it dies on July 30th, 2001 after having suffered from the Parkinson's disease during several years.
