Anton Rolandsson Martin

Anton Rolandsson Martin is a Botaniste Swedish of Walloon origin , born with Tallinn (Estonia) the August 3rd 1729 and deceased in Finland in 1786.

It makes its studies with the royal Académie of Åbo then to the Université of Uppsala. It is chosen by Carl von Linné (1707-1778) and is commissioned by the royal Académie of sciences of Sweden to explore the archipelago of the Spitzberg in 1758 then the Norway in 1759. Its newspaper, Dagbok vid in resa till Norrpolen eller Spitsbergen 1758 , appears only in 1881.
