Anton Pevsner

Anton (or Antoine) Pevsner (1886 with Orel - 1962 with Paris) was a sculptor, a painter and a Artiste Russian constructivist. He was the brother of Naum Gabo.

From 1902 to 1910, he attends the school of art of Kiev and the imperial academy of arts of Saint-Pétersbourg. Between 1911 and 1913, it makes knowledge in Paris of Alexander Archipenko and of Amedeo Modigliani.

With his brother, it publishes in Moscow the Realistic Manifeste in 1920.

In 1931, he is founding member with Theo van Doesburg, Naum Gabo, Auguste Herbin and Georges Vantongerloo of the artistic movement Abstraction-Creation in Paris.

He takes part in 1955 in the Documenta 1 (first great exposure of Modern art in Germany, post-war period) in Cassel, then with the 2nd edition of this one, Documenta II in 1959.
