Anton Diabelli

Anton Diabelli - born the September 6th 1781 with Salzburg and died the April 7th 1858 with Vienna - is an Austrian musician, Pianiste, Compositeur, editor and pedagog - Piano, Guitare - raises Michael Haydn. Its sacred music is very widespread in Austria and the quality of its parts for piano ensures a vast diffusion everywhere to him.

It is in particular known to have founded the Éditions Diabelli and Co which published Haydn, Mozart and especially Schubert. One indirectly owes in Diabelli one of the tops of the music: the Variations on a waltz of Diabelli COp 120 , which were the object of a contest in 1821, to which Beethoven answered by a monument of 33 Variation S.

Among its innumerable works: Mass S, Motet S, airs, music of theater, and very many parts for piano.
