Anton Cottier
Anton Cottier , Swiss politician, born the December 4th 1943, deceased the November 3rd 2006 in Freiburg. It was originating in Jaun (Bellegarde) where it was born, only commune of German language of the district of the Gruyere.
Career
Lawyer, it is appointed with the Grand the Council Freibourgese of 1976 to 1987, communal adviser (directing of the police force) of the town of Freiburg of 1982 to 1991. Elected official adviser in the States in 1987, it sits in the Upper House of the federal Parliament until 2003. He is president of the Conseil of the States in 2001-2002. During its presidential year, it goes to the session of the General meeting to New York during which Switzerland is allowed with UNO. He visits the Ouzbékistan, the Kyrgyzstan, the Tadjikistan, the Nigeria and the Romania.
