Anton Corbijn

Anton Corbijn is a Dutch photographer and realizer (1955).

It begins its career with musical monthly magazine " Oor" in 1977 before settling with London where it integrates the magazine " Musical New Express". Its stereotypes strongly contrasted black and white make known it and from many stars pass in front of his objective (David Bowie, U2, Miles Davis, Clint Eastwood, etc). He frequently collaborates with Depeche Mode (since 1986), group for which he produces clips and small pockets with many recoveries as well as the scenic installations their the impressive lives ones.

The dvd " The Work off Director Anton Corbijn" gather its principal achievements (Nirvana, The Killers, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Depeche Mode, Joy Division, etc). If its talent of photographer is undeniable, its achievements reveal however a setting in scene too close to the photograph (one would speak about successions of photographs and not of plans): it results from it from the static clips at the unequal rate/rhythm but to the interesting imagery nevertheless.

It carries out Control in 2007, a feature film on the life of Ian Curtis, feature film presented to the Quinzaine the realizers of the Cannes festival 2007
