Anton Šťastný

Anton Šťastný (born the August 5th 1959 with Bratislava in Czechoslovakia today town of Slovakia) is a former professional player of Hockey Slovak. It evolved/moved as a left winger.

Career as a player

He was selected during the fishing out amateur of the National league of hockey in 1978 by the Flyers of Philadelphia (198e choice) but he will be finally selected the year according to by the Nordiques of Quebec (83e choice).

He will have played 650 matches in the LNH, all within the Scandinavian ones before turning over to play in Europe in the championship of Switzerland in 1989. He will play with his brothers during four seasons.

He will have also played some matches of the season 1988-89 in the American Ligue of hockey for the Citadelles of Halifax, team affiliated to the frankness from the Scandinavian ones.

Of Season LNH 1980-81 with Season LNH 1987-88, it at least registers 25 goals in the season, i.e. during 8 consecutive seasons. It will finish its career in LNH with 252 goal, 384 assistances for a total of 636 points.

It represents the team of Czechoslovakia during the Winter Olympics of Lake Placid in 1980. The team finishes 5th tournament.
