Antoine de Caunes

Antoine de Caunes (February 1st 1953 with Paris -) leads initially an original career of general-purpose man of television (presenter, producer, humorist) to Antenne 2 then Canal+. He becomes then actor, then scenario writer and realizer of cinema.

Biography

He is the son of two personalities of the French Télévision: Georges de Caunes and Jacqueline Joubert and the father of the actress Emma de Caunes.

It begins its career of public figure at the end of the Années 1970 as a creator and an organizer of Chorus . Quasi-only at that time to defend the rock'n'roll on TV public, it organizes and retransmet truths concerts of rock'n'roll filmed with the Empire. It presents the emission on the roof of the Empire with its accomplice Jacky (who will join then Dorothée). He writes, under the pseudonym of Paul Persavon , with the assistance of Jean-Luc Azoulay several credits of cartoons of Antenne 2 (his/her mother is at the time director of the programs youth), of which Cobra in 1982 or even that of Clémentine or X-But .

Its passion for the rock'n'roll leads it to produce and introduce to the emission Houba-Houba for the Children of the rock'n'roll like Rapido . This emission initially diffused on TF1 in 1987, proposes in particular performances of artists into live. But one hour, the lately privatized chain, reduced the duration to thirty minutes. Antoine De Caunes rather quickly integrates the constraints which are imposed to him, changes the style of his emission, which emigrates on Canal Plus. Antoine de Caunes animates 1984 with 1987 a named radio broadcast Marlboro Music , emission which was recorded in the studios of JMS Productions in Paris with reports recorded with the the United States. Antoine de Caunes very early devoted himself to the fight against the AIDS. He ensured the promotion of the “Evenings of humor - Solidarity AIDS”.

In 2006, it returns to its first loves with the presentation of an emission devoted to the various festivals of the cinema on France 4: Perfume of Cinema. It also makes some appearances in the series TV Kaamelott diffused on M6 in the role of the Dagonet knight

The same year, it assembles a project of feature film on the candidature of Coluche for the presidential elections of 1981 for the moment entitled It is the history of a guy… .

It has a second home with Trouville-on-Sea (Calvados).

He married on May 18th, 2007 with Daphné Carrier.
