Antoine Vermette

Antoine Vermette (born the July 20th 1982 with Saint-Agapit with the Quebec, Canada) is a player of professional Hockey of the National league of hockey evolving/moving with the Senators d' Ottawa. He is recognized for his speed and his particular manner to handle the disc his way of killing the penalties like his high rate of success with the settings in plays.

Career

Vermette begins its career with the Remparts of Quebec at the time of its passage to hockey junior, but it was exchanged with the Tigres of Victoriaville of the Ligue of hockey major junior of Quebec where it knew very good seasons what was worth to him gained TrophĂ©e Michael Bossy in season 1999-2000. It was then fished out by the Senators d' Ottawa at the time of the RepĂȘchage of entry in the LNH 2000, with the 55e position. Before making its entry in the LNH during the season 2003-04, Vermette played for the Senators de Binghamton in the American Ligue of hockey.

At the time of the '' lockout '' 2004-05 of the LNH, it turns over, like several of its fellow-member of the Senators to play, with the Senators de Binghamton. In 2007, Vermette occupies the position of center on the third trio in company of Chris Kelly (with which it played in the LAH) and Chris Neil.

Antoine took part has several public awareness campaign as the countryside against alcohol at the wheel where it made publicity in the two Canadian official languages.

The Vermette June 18th, 2006 signs a 2 year old new agreement with the Senators d' Ottawa distributed in the following way:

  • 2006-07: : 925000$
  • 2007-08 : : 1075000$
