With died his/her father occurred in 1706, Antoine Ulrich of Saxony-Meiningen inherited jointly with his/her half-brother Ernest-Louis Ier Saxony-Meiningen the duchy Saxony-Meiningen. But little time after Antoine-Ulrich of Saxony-Meiningen renonça to his rights on the duchy and left for the Netherlands. In this country it is linked morganatiquement in Elisabeth Éléonore Caesar. With died of Ernest-Louis Ier of Saxony-Meiningen he became a possible heir to the duchy. The March 10th 1746 Antoine Ulrich of Saxony-Meiningen succeeded his Frederic-Guillaume brother of Saxony-Meiningen.
