Antoine Guitton
Antoine Guitton , born the February 8th 1901 with Verrie (the Vendée), dead the June 27th 1977 with Verrie, farmer, is a Politician French, deputy of the Vendée of 1951 with 1962.
Political career
Exploiting small holder of a farm of a score of hectares with Verrie, it engages in the corporative organizations of the farming community, and becomes vice-president of the Departmental union of the General confederation of agriculture, president of the Federation of the growers of tobacco of the Vendée and national vice-president of this federation.Catholic militant and man of the right, it supports the Vichy government from which he becomes the cantonal delegate with Information.
City council man of Verrie, he is elected appointed of the Vendée at the time of the legislative elections of the June 17th 1951 to which he is candidate on the Vendean Liste of National union , in which he represents the Indépendants Peasants.
With the National Assembly, he is Member of the Commissions of the economic affairs and state education as well as Committees on Agriculture and work and social security.
The January 9th 1952, it is named secretary of the National Assembly.
Re-elected at the time of the legislative elections of the January 2nd 1956, he becomes secretary of the Committee on Agriculture as well as that of the merchant navy and fishings.
The November 23rd 1958, at the time of the elections of the first legislature of the Fifth Republic, Antoine Guitton is elected in the fourth district of Montaigu - the Herbaria. The January 28th 1959, it is designated as member of the parliamentary Parliament of the the Council of Europe.
It is beaten in 1962 by Vincent Ansquer, candidate of UNR.
