Antoine Germain Labarraque

Antoine Germain Labarraque (1777 - 1850) is a chemist and French pharmacist, born with Oloron-Holy-Marie.

Formed in a pharmacist of Saint-Jean-with-Luz, then pharmacist as a chief in a Spanish hospital, Labarraque exerts then with Montpellier then with Paris. He discovers the disinfecting properties of the Bleach which he recommends in form diluted (called since water of Labarraque) since 1825. He dies in 1850 in Paris.
