Antoine Dufour

Antoine Dufour is a acoustic Guitariste Québécois born in the small town of the Epiphany.

Biography

Antoine Dufour started to play of the guitar at the 15 years age. He studied with the regional Cégep of Lanaudière with Joliette. It is where he listened to the music of Leo Kottke, of Don Ross and Michael Hedges. It gained the second position with the Canadian Fingerstyle Guitar Contest 2005 It was given in spectacle to the International festival of jazz of Montreal at the time of the 26e edition and to the Canadian guitar festival . It gained at the time of this last event the 1st price of the championship in Fingerstyle Guitar . He also played with International Guitar Night where there was Brian Gore, Andrew White and Peppino D' Agostino. Together, they made a round through Canada, then they recorded an album compiling the songs of the 4 guitarists. He is the author of two albums, Naissance and Development , this second album being appeared in 2006. Antoine often plays in duet with the Violoniste Tommy Gauthier.
